The eroded antique busts appear as though they are horizontal and reclining, evoking mountains crests, in between a theatrical set and a model. Presented independently or as diptychs, the truncated circles could refer to strange glasses that make us perceive imaginary spaces into these photographic details. The circular form of the wood panel is also linked with the sunset pictogram, a veiled reference present in several new projects where antique collections are displaced from their museum environments and instead placed in cosmic views. Through the association of these different times and spaces, our cultural and historical evolutions are regarded side by side with a more global cosmic condition, yet still refering to our human scale by evoking our optical and intellectual illusions...
